The Great Union County Dog House & Crate Design Contest

Ohio Pet Charities Honda Marysville, Acura Marysville and Honda Federal Credit Union invites local businesses, teams, and builders to participate in The Great Union County Doghouse & Crate Build. This unique competition combines creativity and community spirit to support the Union County Humane Society and Ohio Pet Charities.

Whether you’re a professional contractor or a DIY-savvy office team, we want to see your best outdoor doghouse or indoor crate design. All builds will be showcased to the public before being auctioned off to raise vital funds for local animals in need.

Event Timeline & Key Dates

• Registration Deadline: May 31, 2026

• Build Completion & Delivery: By May 31, 2026

• Public Display & Judging: Throughout June 2026 (at participating local businesses and Honda Marysville/HFCU locations)

• Winners Announced: July 11, 2026, during the Honda and Hounds event!

Participation Details

• Entry Fee: $200 per team/business.

• The Challenge: Design and construct a custom outdoor doghouse or a decorative indoor crate.

• The Goal: Get creative! Past entries have ranged from miniature log cabins to modern indoor end-table crates.

Build Guidelines

• Size & Weight: To ensure we can transport and display your masterpiece, please keep builds within 6' x 6' and under 200 lbs. Honda Marysville will assist with moving the house/crate if you need assistance.

• Durability: Outdoor doghouses should be weather-resistant; indoor crates should be functional and stylish.

• Visibility: Your business name will be prominently displayed with your build throughout the month of June.

• Progress : A website link will be provided so you can upload pictures and short videos of the build process
