Woof & Witches 2026 is getting a new haunt!

at The Wag * Dog Bar and People Park * 1330 Norton Avenue
in Grandview Heights (between W 5th and W 3rd)
We couldn’t be more excited.
Woof & Witches is a pet friendly family event featuring dozens of pet rescues, vendors,
food trucks and Halloween themed activities for you and your pet.

Admission is FREE for humans - FOR THIS EVENT – and the normal MEMBERSHIP FEE for pets WILL BE WAIVED – BUT EACH PET MUST HAVE A PET PROFILE – YOU CAN QUICKLY CREATE YOUR PET’S PROFILE IN ADVANCE HERE:

The Wag is an amazing space with incredible amenities, making it the paw-fect place for an unforgettable day with our favorite furry friends. 👻🎃🐾 Woof & Witches on Parade 🐾🎃👻
The spirits have spoken... and they're calling all pets and their humans to Woof & Witches on Parade at The Wag, our final outdoor event of 2026! Join us for a frightfully fun afternoon as we celebrate the Halloween season and close out the year with a spectacular BOO!
🕸️ Strike a pose at our FREE Spooky-Themed Photo Booth and capture memories that are simply to die for.
🎭 Show off your creepy, cute, or downright hilarious costumes in our Pet & People Costume Contest and Parade at 1:45pm - Whether you're a wicked witch, a spooky skeleton, or a superhero pup, there's a place for every creature in the parade.
🎶 Our ghostly DJ will be conjuring up hauntingly good tunes while you enjoy a cauldron full of activities. Keep an eye out for four-legged witches, wizard dogs, magical mutts, and enchanting felines as they roam the park. With plenty of treats, laughter, and Halloween magic around every corner, this is one event you won't want to ghost.
So grab your broomsticks, leash up your favorite familiar, and join us for a spellbinding afternoon of costumes, creativity, community, and tail-wagging fun.

This special evening will feature great food and beverages, a Silent Auction, exciting raffles, and lots more, all to benefit OPC’s Furry Friends Fund, which provides lifesaving veterinary care for qualifying pet owners who need financial assistance. Your support helps us create brighter futures for pets and strengthen animal welfare efforts throughout our community.

Christen King
Board Member at Large and Event Committee Member
From a young age, Christen had a love for animals. She understands how strong connections can grow with a pet and how animals can bring happiness to people’s lives. Bringing joy to others is one of the main reasons why she joined the amazing team at Ohio Pet Charities. She is passionate about bringing hope and happiness to the community and it is her honor to support such a good cause.
Christen was born and raised in Dublin, OH and graduated from The Ohio State University with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Since graduation, she has worked as an Engineer at Honda. During her time there, she has held multiple engineering positions and leadership roles. She enjoys creating memories with her amazing husband and two incredible daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys designing and creating in her craft area or with a 3D printer.
Sharon Daehler
Secretary, Board Member
Sharon has always felt good about helping others and has donated her time, effort and support to many charitable causes around Central Ohio. When she discovered Ohio Pet Charities, she realized she could help both two-legged and four-legged others at the same time and was happy to bring her love of event planning and fundraising for nonprofit groups to the organization.
Sharon holds a B.S. Degree in Accounting from Franklin University, and as a Senior Compliance Analyst she is well-aware of the importance of detailed record keeping and adherence to rules and laws. She relies on this awareness to currently serve as the Secretary for Ohio Pet Charities.
Sharon was born in Cleveland, but has lived in the Columbus area for most of her life. Her love of animals makes her a respectable human parent to two rescue dogs and one very energetic kitten. Any remaining free time is spent with her family, walking, reading and being a fan of many Ohio sports teams.
